Thermal air dryers combine pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and temperature swing adsorption principles. During regeneration, a small amount of heat is used to warm the regeneration gas, resulting in low energy consumption. They are suitable for medium-scale compressed air systems.
For general drying (down to -40°C dew point), standard activated alumina suffices. A layered packing method (e.g., JZ-K1 + high-efficiency activated alumina K2) is recommended.
For deep drying (below -70°C dew point), use high-efficiency activated alumina K2 combined with molecular sieves.
